Jail Receptionist

Job Summary

Duties include operation of computer, fax machine, printers and etc.  Welcome guests as soon as they arrive.  Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.  Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.  Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges, etc.  Keep updated records of office expenses and costs.  Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.

Requirements

  • Must be able to assist person(s) in setting up inmate commissary accounts and video visitation.
  • Applicant must pass a physical and drug screen

Salary and Benefits

Starting Salary: $11.32 to $12.37 /hr depending on experience.
