The County Highway Department operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours, non-emergency requests may be left on the answering service. Emergency requests should call 911.

Job Summary
Using industry standards, practices, and equipment; repairs and maintains gasoline/diesel powered light vehicles and heavy equipment. Upon receipt of oral or written instructions from supervisor, employee exercises judgement as to work method, practices and equipment required to complete the job. Is responsible for the acquisition of miscellaneous parts and supplies from area venders.
Requirements
- Must pass a physical and drug screen
Salary and Benefits
- Starting Salary: $10.87 – $11.76/hr depending on experience.
- BC/BS insurance (County pays for single coverage and 76% of family monthly premium) and state retirement both effective on hire date.
- Fourteen paid holidays per year
- Sick & annual vacation time is accrued from date of hire.
