The County Highway Department operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours, non-emergency requests may be left on the answering service. Emergency requests should call 911.

Job Summary
Assists in the performance of field appraisals and the calculation of values for all types of residential, farm, and light commercial properties located with taxing jurisdiction.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete the Alabama Department of Revenue Property Tax Education and Certification Program courses.
- Applicant must pass a physical and drug screen.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting Salary: $17.50 / hr
- BCBS Insurance (100% paid by county for single coverage and 77% of family coverage covered by county) Effective on date of hire.
- State of Alabama Retirement Effective on date of hire.
