"We Grow Friendly People"
The story of the two rivers that meet, the Pea River and the Choctawhatchee River, runs through the history of the town. Geneva began at the River Junction where the river meet.
From the beginning, the town has used the natural resources of the rivers to establish its economy throughout history. Today these waters are a source of recreation, but its early settlers prospered by using the rivers to trade goods by steamboat.
